Holidays in Playa de los Cancajos - La Palma, Canary Islands
La Palma is the northernmost of the Canary Islands and perhaps the most unspoilt. It is referred to as 'la Isla Bonita' because of its immense natural beauty. The capital is Santa Cruz. Along with La GOmera, La Palma differs from the main Canary Islands in its abundance of fresh water, with rainfall and streams supporting lush vegetation and forest simply not found on the other islands. The main feature, and one that must be seen, is the Caldera de Taburiente, an extinct volcanic crater with rock walls towering 1000 meters above the surroiunding forest.
Playa De Los Cancajos is a small but developing resort with a friendly relaxed charm and stunning mountain views. Los Cancajos beach is very wide and mixes black sand and rocks. The beach also features some lovely fish restaurants. Los Cancajos is one of the best places to dive through the many underwater coves in a fantastic underwater world. Playa De Los Cancajos is the main resort in this part of the island, wth a busy night life. It is also close to Santa Cruz, the capital of La Palma.
